How does flattening and resurfacing work? Both are usually part of a larger restoration process, but these services can stand alone as needed. Flattening comes first and fixes lippage problems, which usually come from uneven installation. We grind your stone surface down to make it even, which is much more aesthetically pleasing and functional. 

Once we have an even surface to work with, we can resurface your stone. If your stone doesn’t need flattening, then we can start with resurfacing. During this process, we use diamond-embedded resin discs and water to “sand” your stone. This removes any accidental stains, etches, and scratches that dull your stone.
